Our immediate strategic mandate is an architectural turnaround, optimization, and stabilization of our global infrastructure footprint. The incoming leader will first drive engineering hygiene, eliminate legacy technical debt, and establish enterprise cloud-spend governance. Once a optimized, highly resilient foundation is secured, this leader will own the multi-region architecture and governance required to execute a zero-downtime strategic migration of our global platform, unlocking localized market performance and ensuring cross-border compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive a top-down architectural turnaround of fragmented legacy cloud environments. Actively deprecate zombie infrastructure, consolidate orphaned microservices, and standardize container topologies.
• This is a strict "Migration Readiness Gate"—we will not execute a blind lift-and-shift of unoptimized technical debt. This leader establishes the baseline efficiencies and cost controls necessary to protect our margins prior to migration.
• Design the multi-region target architecture and lead the strategic execution of migrating core transactional and booking engines.
• Architect and govern a highly resilient "Bridge Architecture" utilizing enterprise-grade networking solutions.
• Oversee the design of multi-region database sharding, data tokenization, and localization paradigms.
• Proactively insulates the business against conflicting international regulatory frameworks, ensuring the platform is structurally prepared to deploy isolated local nodes cleanly.
• Transforms infrastructure from a cost center into a competitive performance advantage in localized markets.

Required Experience:

• Legacy Refactoring & Tech Debt Remediation : Proven track record entering complex, highly fragmented infrastructure environments and enforcing disciplined engineering hygiene, infrastructure-as-code (IaC) standardization, and service-mesh governance to halt cloud spend leaks.
• Cost-Optimization Governance: Documented experience turning around runaway cloud spend and unoptimized resource allocations, transforming inefficient legacy setups into streamlined, migration-ready architectures.
• Expertise in signing secure enterprise networks across disparate cloud provider frameworks and structuring distributed database nodes to comply with regional data residency and sovereign compliance mandates.
