VP/ Director Technology

COMPANY OVERVIEW

The client is a leading life science technology company. Aspart of their continuous growth, they are looking for a Technology &Architecture leader to steer their evolution from a hardware-led product company into a software-and-AI-enabled platform business. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define problems and system logic, laying out challenges clearly for stakeholders.
• Own architecture discipline across hardware, firmware, software, cloud, and AI layers.
• Apply software development principles to hardware interfaces, making complex instrumentation feel simple and intuitive for end-users.
• Lead the architecture and delivery of the next-generation software platform, integrating AI capabilities into unified, workflow-level user experiences.
• Work closely with R&D, Engineering, Applications, Product, and Commercial teams to align architecture with constraints and commercial priorities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• More than 10 years of experience in systems architecture, platform engineering, or related disciplines.
• Must have experience in application of software development principles to hardware interfaces.
• Direct experience building scientist-facing software or clinician-facing healthcare application.
• A genuine problem-first thinker: comfortable defining and structuring ambiguous challenges before reaching for a solution, rather than defaulting to familiar fixes.
• Experience building consumer-facing or non-expert-facing interfaces for complex technical products.
