Job Description

Factoring Surveyor's key responsibility is to assess the "factorability" and the quality of the underlying receivables being considered for factoring by conducting pre-activation and periodic surveys. The objective is to ensure that the quality of the receivables do not deteriorate over time and there is consistent compliance with our standard factoring terms and conditions . An in-depth survey analysis will help to alert business on potential issues or concerns so that appropriate action can be undertaken by business to better manage the account risk.

The job entails the following:

1) maintain an update schedule of surveys for factoring accounts and ensure that the surveys when required are duly conducted

2) Prior to the survey site visit, advise client on the documents required

3) During the survey to review the client's billing procedure (including available documents to evidence completion of the sales transactions), credit controls on management of overdues and collection process. Analyse past due and payment trends, dilution, credit notes, disputes etc to determine the quality of receivables.

4) Conduct verification of documents for underlying trades

5) Review payment records and ensure there are no indirect payments

6) Complete a survey report by providing a summary of key findings and highlight critical issues that may impact on the continuation of the factoring facility.

7) Perform reconciliation of statement of accounts

Other responsibilities

1. Ensure the survey report template is constantly reviewed and updated to stay relevant to the factoring business

2) Preparation of monthly report/dashboard using both excel and powerpoint

3) Any other ad hoc assignments.

Requirements

Tertiary education.

Skillset : MS word, MS excel, powerpoint

Experience : surveyor scope in receivables management, risk management
