Business Analytics Intern, Insurance Consulting

Insurance Consulting is one of Munich Re's areas of strategic growth, comprising energetic and expert data scientists, actuaries and product developers who are pushing the boundaries of (re)insurance.

We are a trusted risk advisor in primary insurance focused on improving our clients' portfolio performance and helping them create and execute on new business opportunities.

We are seeking interns available for a full-time commitment from June to December 2026 only - please apply only if you can commit to this period.

Your Role

• Help prepare and consolidate high quality pitch and proposal materials to support our client pitches and deliverables.
• Support the team in business development and actuarial analysis.
• Contribute to the development of BI dashboards for internal and external usage.
• Provide coding support on an ad-hoc basis.
• Perform market research to understand the client landscape and identify needs.
• Communicate with other teams and internal stakeholders such as underwriting, client management and IT.
• You will be required to work very closely and proactively within and outside the consulting team, including offices in Thailand, India, Korea, Japan, Beijing, Sydney and Munich.

Your Profile

• Pursing a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative and/or business-related discipline.
• You are detailed and capable of delivering high-quality materials.
• You possess an intellectual curiosity to explore new topics and knowledge - comfortable with ambiguity, flexibility and possess a growth mindset.
• You must be proactive, collaborative, innovative and vocal in your opinions.
• You are motivated, willing to learn and keen to push boundaries.
• You are keen on developing your business acumen during your internship.
• Some prior experience programming in R, SAS and/or Python will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Power BI will be an advantage
