The Global Finance Group drives financial strategies based on expert understanding of Lam’s breakthrough technologies, the semiconductor market, and the global business environment. They manage our company's financials and relationships with our investor community to ensure we have the strong financial foundation to fuel innovation and growth.

The impact you’ll make

This role primarily supports SEA Finance in driving process automation initiatives using Copilot and other AI tools over an assignment duration of 3 to 6 months. It is ideal for individuals interested in combining finance processes with emerging technologies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and insights.

Under this internship program, the incumbent will gain:

• Hands-on experience with AI tools in enterprise finance


• Exposure to digital transformation within finance functions


• Understanding of finance processes in a commercial environment.


• Development of data analytics and automation skills

What you’ll do

• Support the team in specific initiatives such as
  
  
  
  • Develop a bot using Copilot or other AI tools to address frequent questions from employees on Payroll and Employee Claims, enabling self-service access to policies and standardized responses through a Copilot agent
  
  
  • Leverage Copilot or other AI tools for automating SAP reports & analytics, enable repetitive actions within Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint etc
  
  
  • Build Simple dashboards to enhance data visualization and insights
  
  
  • Support cross-functional AI initiatives that involve Finance & Operation teams
  
  
  
  


• Work under matrix accountability with respective Project Leads to support system and reporting enhancement initiatives


• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Who we’re looking for

• Currently pursuing a degree in either Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or Computer Engineering with Big Data exposure


• Good inter-personal and communications skills.


• Commands good oral and written English.


• Strong in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.


• Candidate should possess good analytical and have the eye for details.


• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot or AI tools is preferred, and coding ability (e.g., Python) will be an added advantage

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
