Job Description - Finance Intern (FP&A)

As a Finance Intern, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the finance team by conducting sales and churn analyses, streamlining existing financial templates, and assisting in the preparation of month-end reports and presentations. This internship offers hands-on experience in financial analysis and reporting within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Churn Analysis

Analyze sales data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for growth
Calculate and interpret churn rates, providing insights into customer retention and acquisition strategies
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand factors influencing sales performance and customer retention
Collaborate closely with Data and IT teams to resolve data issues and discrepancies

Financial Template Streamlining

Review and update existing financial templates to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Implement best practices in financial modeling and reporting.
Ensure consistency and standardization across financial documents.

Month-End Reporting & Deck Preparation

Assist in the preparation of month-end close and monthly forecast activities
Develop and update financial dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
Prepare presentation decks for management meetings, highlighting financial performance and insights.
Any other ad hoc finance tasks as required

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent)
Experience with assignments (academic or professional work) that require the use and development of analytical skills, including use of Excel.
Competency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems such as Power BI, Hyperion, Oracle or other SAP systems
Ability to work in a fast paced and growing company
Highly self-motivated, hands-on, positive, result-oriented, a can-do attitude and a team player are essential.
Independent, able to work with all levels in a high matrix organization, high degree of commitment to meeting deadlines, target, and objectives.
