Job title – Flavor – Beverage Intern

Location – Tuas, Singapore

The purpose of this internship is to support the Senior Application Technologists in day-to-day laboratory and application activities, contributing to the development of innovative beverage solutions that meet customer needs and drive beverage application success.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare beverage prototypes across a range of applications, including carbonated drinks, juice drinks, sports, energy and functional beverages, coffee, tea, alcoholic beverages, and powdered drinks, based on customer project briefs


• Apply flavors and relevant processing conditions to develop beverage prototypes that meet project and customer requirements


• Ensure the consistency and quality of beverage prototypes by measuring key physical and chemical parameters using laboratory instruments such as refractometers, acid titrators, and carbonation testers


• Conduct physical stability evaluations (e.g., clarity, solubility, and phase separation) of flavored beverage prototypes under various storage temperatures and conditions


• Support sensory evaluation sessions and assist in the preparation of bulk samples for flavor stability testing in finished beverage applications.


• Collaborate with the Applications team to develop innovative beverage prototypes for customer presentations, innovation days, and other business initiatives

You Bring:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Nutrition, or a related discipline


• Basic knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) with a strong commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment


• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage tasks effectively while meeting scheduled timelines and evaluation deadlines


• Willing to learn and operate beverage processing and packaging equipment (e.g., carbonator, canning machine, high-shear mixer), with basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, file sharing, and photo/video documentation


• Passionate about beverage innovation, with good observation and sensory evaluation skills, a positive mindset, creativity, adaptability, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural team


• Proactive, hands-on, and eager to take initiative while contributing effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment
