Intern

The Intern will support the volatility trading team by developing advanced analytical tools and a comprehensive internal market database. The role involves collaborating with traders to design and implement technology-driven solutions, leveraging strong coding and product management skills to deliver projects that enhance trading strategies and operational efficiency.

Main Accountabilities : 

1. Develop Analytical Tools: Design, code, and deploy applications to support options volatility analysis, market forecasting, and portfolio optimization, utilizing robust programming methodologies.


2. Streamline Processes: Automate and optimize market research workflows through scripting and process improvements to enhance the speed and accuracy of data analysis.


3. Build Internal Systems: Develop and maintain FRM’s internal market database and research toolkit, ensuring scalability, reliability, and usability through proficient programming.


4. Monitor Market Developments: Track macroeconomic updates and market reports, synthesizing relevant insights to provide traders with timely, actionable information.

Requirement ( Education / Experience ) :

1. Undergraduate from Degree in Computer Science or related fields with strong programming skills.


2. Strong proficiency in Python is required. Familiarity with additional programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, SQL, or R) is preferred.


3. Proven project experience in data science or quantitative research, such as developing analytical models, processing datasets, or building data-driven tools.


4. Ability to read and interpret market research reports and databases in Chinese is advantageous.


5. Background in AI is advantageous.
