Intern, Design and Estimation Engineering

What you will do:

The Intern supports our Marine & Offshore Singapore team on fire detection and suppression related projects. You will be involved in pre-sales support, design and technical documentation support, and documentation from proposal through testing and commissioning.

How you will do it:

• Provide pre-sales support to Sales team, including proposal costing and attending technical clarifications meeting and/or presentation with customers

• Perform design and prepare engineering drawings and documentation as per customer’s/project requirements

• Provide technical support and/or propose alternative technical solutions to meet customer’s requirements

• Compilation and submission of all documentations as required as per the project requirements

• Configure, program, test, commission troubleshoot hardware and software programming.

• Understand and perform software programming of Johnson Controls' Fire Detection panels and hydraulic calculations for fire mechanical systems 

What we look for

• Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent

• Willingness and interest in learn Fire Detection, Protection & Suppression systems 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD 

• Resourceful, results-oriented, excellent interpersonal skills and business acumen 

• Able to work independently and deliver results for multiple projects under tight deadlines 

• Able to commit to a full-time internship for 6 months preferred
