Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.\n\nProject Description: \n\n\u2013This internship project offers hands-on exposure to semiconductor dry etch process and equipment development within a manufacturing environment. The intern will participate in structured experimental studies to evaluate opportunities for improving process efficiency, reducing material cost, and minimizing process variation through data-driven analysis. \n\nProject Objectives\n\n\u2013Evaluate opportunities for process time reduction, material cost optimization, and process variation reduction through designed experiments\n\n\u2013Build foundational knowledge of dry etch process principles and equipment fundamentals\n\n\u2013Understand the relationship between key process parameters and product patterning outcomes\n\nProject Scope: \n\n\u2013Learn the fundamentals of dry etch processes and associated hardware systems\n\n\u2013Gain exposure to one dry etch application used in Micron manufacturing\n\n\u2013Understand process/equipment characterization techniques and how process parameters (process vectors/knobs) influence patterning performance on product wafers\n\n\u2013Analyze experimental results to identify improvement opportunities aligned with project objectives\n\nDeliverables: \n\n\u2013Optimization proposal for an existing dry etch process with measurable improvements in process time, cost, and/or variation\n\n\u2013Technical presentation summarizing experimental approach, analysis, and key findings\n\nSkillsets Required: \n\n\u2013Good communication and presentation skills\n\n\u2013Ability to work effectively in a team environment\n\n\u2013Strong interest in learning and applying engineering fundamentals\n\nCourse of interests: Currently pursuing a Degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or Statistical / Data Analytics, Strong interest in semiconductor manufacturing and process engineering\n\n\u2022Duration Period: Semester Internship from Jul to November 2026 \n\nAbout Micron Technology, Inc.\n\nWe are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
