Req. ID:\n\nJR97204 Intern - F10 PEE FAB Support\n\nOur vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.\n\nMicron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.\n\nLocation: F10\n\nDepartment: F10 HVM Process Equipment Engineering (PEE) - Fab Support\n\n## Project Title\n\nEnablement of Autonomous Robotic Mover for Pumps and Chillers in F10\n\n## Project Description\n\nAutonomous robotic movers are increasingly deployed in industrial environments for the movement of large and heavy equipment. This project aims to study how such technologies could be conceptually enabled within an existing brownfield fabrication facility, taking into consideration spatial constraints, safety requirements, and infrastructure limitations. The intern will focus on understanding available technologies and defining the conditions required for potential adoption within the F10 environment.\n\n## Objective of the Project\n\nTo evaluate available autonomous robotic mover solutions in the market and define the technical, spatial, and operational requirements needed to conceptually enable such capabilities within the existing F10 fabrication facility.\n\n## \n\n## Project Scope\n\n * Study industrial use cases of autonomous robotic movers in manufacturing environments\n\n * Review products and service offerings from selected local technology providers\n\n * Understand the Fab Support function and its interface with equipment movement requirements\n\n * Identify constraints and considerations specific to a brownfield fabrication facility\n\n * Develop high-level requirements and enablement considerations for a demonstration use case\n\n\n\n\n## Learning Opportunities\n\nThe intern will gain exposure to fabrication facility engineering considerations, multi-functional teamwork, and structured problem analysis. Learning areas include requirements definition, vendor technology assessment, and the interaction between mechanical systems, controls, and software in autonomous solutions. The project provides experience in translating conceptual ideas into structured engineering proposals.\n\n## Deliverables\n\n * Market and technology landscape assessment of autonomous robotic mover solutions\n\n * High-level functional and non-functional requirements framework for fab deployment\n\n * Spatial, safety, and infrastructure constraint analysis for F10\n\n * Conceptual proposal outlining conditions for a potential demonstration unit\n\n * Final presentation and documentation summarizing findings and recommendations\n\n\n\n\n## Impact of Project\n\nProvides a structured foundation to evaluate future automation opportunities while supporting long-term efficiency improvement and ergonomic risk reduction through informed engineering analysis.\n\n## Skillset Required\n\n * General problem-solving and analytical skills\n\n * Written and verbal communication skills\n\n * Structured reporting and documentation\n\n\n\n\n## Course of Interest\n\nMechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Signals, or Communications\n\n## Duration Period\n\nMinimum 5 months (full semester internship) from July to Nov 2026.\n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nIntern Graduate- Mfg.\n\nRelocation level: (TBD)\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
