Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.\n\nLocation: 1 North Coast Drive, Singapore \n\nDepartment: Product Integration Engineering (PIE), Process Integration (PI)\n\nProject Title: Engineering Assessment of Advanced NAND High\u2011Aspect\u2011Ratio Process\n\n## Project Description\n\nAdvanced NAND technologies rely on complex high\u2011aspect\u2011ratio (HAR) process steps that require careful integration across multiple process modules. Understanding how engineers evaluate these processes and interpret integration data is critical for building strong fundamentals in semiconductor manufacturing \n.\n\nThe student will study documented, historical process evaluation data and engineering methodologies used in high\u2011aspect\u2011ratio NAND process development. Through guided learning and supervision, the student will gain exposure to how engineers analyze process interactions, assess integration risks, and evaluate impacts on product performance.\n\n## Learning Objectives / Learning Opportunities\n\n * Develop foundational understanding of NAND device structures and high\u2011aspect\u2011ratio process concepts\n * Learn how process integration engineers evaluate cross\u2011module process interactions\n * Understand the use of engineering data to assess potential impacts on wafer performance and product quality\n * Build analytical thinking skills through structured review of historical engineering assessments\n * Gain exposure to integration\u2011focused problem\u2011solving approaches without participating in operational execution\n\n\n\n## Project Scope\n\n * Review and study historical process integration case studies related to high\u2011aspect\u2011ratio NAND processes\n * Analyze pre\u2011generated process evaluation data sets to understand engineering assessment methodologies\n * Learn how upstream and downstream process interactions are evaluated in an integration context\n * Review documented probe test summaries and failure analysis reports for learning purposes\n * Develop conceptual frameworks to describe common integration risks and assessment considerations\n\n\n\nDeliverables\n\n * Technical learning summary of selected historical process integration assessments\n * Conceptual workflow illustrating how high\u2011aspect\u2011ratio process evaluations are conducted\n * Analysis report highlighting general factors that influence process integration risk and variability\n * Final presentation summarizing learning outcomes and engineering insights gained during the internship\n\n\n\nSkillset Required\n\n * Strong interest in semiconductor manufacturing and engineering concepts\n * Analytical mindset with ability to interpret technical data and documentation\n * Willingness to learn through guided study, discussion, and structured analysis\n * Prior semiconductor coursework is beneficial but not required\n\n\n\n## Course of Interest\n\nEngineering and Science disciplines, including Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related fields.\n\n\u2022Duration Period: \nMin 5 months (Semester Internship from Aug 2026 to Dec 2026) \n\nAbout Micron Technology, Inc.\n\nWe are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
