Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.\n\n## Location:\n\nF10 Singapore, 1 North Coast Drive\n\n## Department:\n\nManufacturing\n\n## Project Title:\n\nManufacturing Operations Optimisation and Automation Enablement \n\n\n## Project Description:\n\nThis internship project focuses on improving manufacturing operations through structured analysis, systems thinking, and digital enablement concepts. The project centres on studying manufacturing workflows to understand process flow, resource utilisation, and productivity drivers. By applying analytical methods and data\u2011based evaluation, the intern will develop improvement and automation concepts that contribute to operational effectiveness and scalability within a manufacturing environment. \n\n\n## Objective of the Project:\n\nThe objective is to develop the intern\u2019s understanding of manufacturing operations while building competencies in data analysis, process optimisation, and structured problem\u2011solving for productivity enhancement.\n\n## Project Scope:\n\n-Study manufacturing workflows using structured observation and data analysis techniques\n\n-Identify sources of inefficiency and opportunities for productivity improvement\n\n-Quantify improvement potential using data\u2011driven evaluation\n\n-Design and prototype workflow optimisation, digitalisation, or automation concepts\n\n-Participate in discussions with engineers and stakeholders to evaluate feasibility and scalability\n\n## Learning Opportunities:\n\n-Fundamentals of manufacturing operations and systems thinking\n\n-Application of data analytics to operational decision making\n\n-Introduction to automation and digital enablement concepts\n\n-Structured problem\u2011solving and improvement methodology\n\n-Technical communication and presentation of analytical findings\n\n## Deliverables:\n\n-Current\u2011state operational analysis documentation\n\n-Data\u2011backed productivity improvement proposals\n\n-Conceptual automation or workflow optimisation designs\n\n-Final presentation summarising findings, recommendations, and learning outcomes\n\n## Skillset Required:\n\n-Strong analytical and problem\u2011solving mindset\n\n-Exposure to data analytics, programming concepts, or automation tools\n\n-Structured thinking and attention to detail\n\n-Clear written and verbal communication skills\n\n## Course of Interest:\n\nThis project is suitable for students pursuing studies in Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related disciplines.\n\n## Duration Period:\n\nMinimum 5 months (full\u2011time, semester-long internship from July to Nov 2026)\n\nAbout Micron Technology, Inc.\n\nWe are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
