Operational Execellence Team

Short overview on the Unit/Team:

The Operational Excellence Team within Markets Engineering is responsible for driving regulatory compliance, governance, and operational effectiveness across the department. The team manages regulatory requirements, supports audits and MAS inquiries, monitors the achievement of departmental OKRs, and works with stakeholders to continuously improve processes and reporting. In addition, the team leads strategic initiatives such as Frontier AI adoption, automation, and quantum preparedness, helping the organization enhance efficiency, resilience, and readiness for emerging technologies and future risks.

Learning Outcomes

The selected intern will gain hands-on experience in Technology Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, Audit Management, Operational Excellence, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) within a regulated financial market environment. The intern will learn how enterprise technology teams respond to audits, regulatory requests, customer security assessments, and compliance obligations while leveraging AI and automation to improve efficiency. They will also develop practical skills in data analytics, dashboard development, process improvement, cybersecurity compliance monitoring, and stakeholder engagement. Exposure to Generative AI, Power BI, Python, Power Platform, and enterprise governance practices will provide valuable industry experience and business acumen.

Job Description

• Analyze historical audit responses, regulatory submissions, and customer security assessment questionnaires to identify reusable content and response patterns.


• Design and develop AI-assisted solutions to automate draft responses for audit, compliance, regulatory, and due diligence requests.


• Support the development of AI-driven workflows for Vendor Due Diligence and customer security assessments.


• Review and enhance Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) monitoring processes through automation and dashboard reporting.


• Develop compliance tracking dashboards and management reports using Power BI or similar analytics tools.


• Perform data analysis to identify trends, risks, operational inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.


• Conduct process mapping and workflow analysis to identify automation and operational excellence initiatives.


• Prototype solutions using Python, Power Platform, Generative AI, or other automation tools to reduce manual effort.


• Measure and report productivity gains, efficiency improvements, and operational benefits achieved through implemented solutions.


• Collaborate with Technology Risk, Compliance, Audit, Cybersecurity, and Operational Excellence stakeholders to gather requirements and validate outputs.


• Prepare project documentation, presentations, and reports for senior management and stakeholders.


• Present project outcomes, findings, and recommendations at the completion of the internship.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

Must Have

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related discipline.


• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.


• Good command of written and spoken English.


• Basic knowledge of Python programming and data analysis.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.


• Ability to document requirements, findings, and solutions clearly and professionally.


• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.


• Keen interest in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, and Compliance.

Preferred

• Familiarity with Generative AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, or Large Language Models (LLMs).


• Exposure to Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Prompt Engineering, or AI workflow development.


• Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar automation platforms.


• Understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as Vulnerability Management, Penetration Testing, Security Controls, and Risk Assessment.


• Exposure to regulatory, audit, governance, compliance, or enterprise risk management concepts.


• Experience with dashboard development, reporting automation, or data visualization tools.


• Ability to engage stakeholders, gather requirements, and communicate technical concepts effectively.

Advantageous

• Previous project experience involving AI, automation, analytics, or cybersecurity.


• Knowledge of financial services, regulated environments, or technology governance frameworks.


• Experience working with structured and unstructured data for analysis and reporting.
