Job Description - Internship: Group Operations & Technology, Group Technology Projects [August - December 2026]

WHO WE ARE:
As Singapore's longest established bank, we have been dedicated to enabling individuals and businesses to achieve their aspirations since 1932. How? By taking the time to truly understand people. From there, we provide support, services, solutions, and career paths that meet their individual needs and desires.

Today, we're on a journey of transformation. Leveraging technology and creativity to become a future-ready learning organisation. But for all that change, our strategic ambition is consistently clear and bold, which is to be Asia's leading financial services partner for a sustainable future.

We invite you to build the bank of the future. Innovate the way we deliver financial services. Work in friendly, supportive teams. Build lasting value in your community. Help people grow their assets, business, and investments. Take your learning as far as you can. Or simply enjoy a vibrant, future-ready career.

Your Opportunity Starts Here.

Why Join
Be part of the team driving technology transformation across OCBC. As a Group Technology Projects Intern within Group Operations & Technology, you'll gain hands-on exposure to how large-scale technology initiatives are governed and delivered in a banking environment. This internship offers a front-row view of enterprise project delivery, digital platforms, and transformation efforts that enable the bank to operate securely, efficiently, and at scale.

How you succeed
To succeed in this role, you'll demonstrate a strong interest in technology and project delivery, paired with an analytical and structured mindset. You'll be comfortable working with details, open to learning different project methodologies, and proactive in engaging stakeholders. Your ability to collaborate, communicate clearly, and manage multiple tasks will help ensure projects stay on track and aligned with governance standards.

What you do
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Project Tracking & Reporting: assist in tracking and reporting the progress of technology projects and programmes
  • Project Documentation: support preparation and maintenance of project artefacts such as business cases, project charters, and status updates
  • Project Controls: help maintain project plans, risk and issue logs, and change requests
  • Data & Insights: contribute to data analysis and visualisation of project performance metrics
  • Reviews & Improvement: participate in project reviews and support process improvement initiatives
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: work with cross-functional teams within and beyond Group Operations & Technology
  • Governance & Compliance: support adherence to governance frameworks, compliance standards, and delivery methodologies

Who you work with
You'll be part of the Group Technology Projects team, which oversees and enables the delivery of strategic technology initiatives across the bank. The team partners closely with technology, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure projects are well-governed, effectively executed, and aligned with OCBC's broader transformation agenda.

Who you are
  • Strong interest in technology and project management
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with a structured approach to problem solving
  • Comfortable working both independently and in team-based environments
  • Able to communicate clearly and work effectively with stakeholders at different levels
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree
  • Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Power BI is an advantage

Learning Objectives
This internship will provide you with:
  • Hands-on experience in managing and supporting technology projects in a banking environment
  • Exposure to Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
  • Understanding of enterprise IT systems, digital platforms, and transformation initiatives
  • Development of project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and reporting skills
  • Opportunities to network with technology and business leaders across the organisation

What we offer:
Competitive base salary. A suite of holistic, flexible benefits to suit every lifestyle. Community initiatives. Industry-leading learning and professional development opportunities. Your wellbeing, growth and aspirations are every bit as cared for as the needs of our customers.
