About The Program

k-ID is seeking talented Computer Science and Software Engineering students for our Summer 2025 internship program in Singapore. This 10+ week program offers hands-on experience shipping web-based software while contributing to our mission of enhancing digital safety and privacy for kids and teens worldwide.

What You'll Do

• Develop user interfaces and interactive elements using React, Next.js, and Node.js

• Build server-side logic and APIs using Python, TypeScript, and Node.js

• Work with database technologies to manage data from our Global Compliance Database

• Participate in our Agile development process with sprint planning and daily syncs

• Collaborate with senior engineers on technical design and implementation

• Translate UX designs into technical implementation plans

• Address bugs and edge cases as part of our development workflow

Key Projects & Deliverables

• Create features that provide developers and families with age-appropriate content recommendations

• Design interactive visualizations that present compliance data in a clear, accessible format

• Develop APIs for third-party applications to utilize our compliance data

• Contribute to weekly product releases that reach real users

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Computer Science or Software Engineering program at a Singapore university

• Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

• Familiarity with one or more programming languages (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript preferred)

• Interest in digital safety technology and child protection online

• Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Week 1: Orientation and onboarding

  • Week 9: Feature completion and deployment
