Marketing Communications Intern (Hybrid, 5 - 6 Months)

Job Overview

The Singapore Corporate Technology Center (SCTC) is chartered to work with the CTOs and Advanced Development Groups of TE Business Units (BUs) to identify technical areas of interest for R&D and develop forward looking technologies that will deliver broad value to the business. To improve the New Product Development process, TE is creating an Artificial Intelligence Hub in Singapore to expand AI capabilities as a part of our digitalization strategy to improve efficiency, decrease cost, and decrease time to market.

The AI Hub will collaborate with R&D peers, business unit partners as well as local university and government research centers to undertake projects that will embed AI in TE’s design and process development workflows to deliver a competitive advantage to TE’s technologies. 
SCTC is looking for a marketing communications intern to join the AI Hub to promote communication within TE regarding AI Innovations and assist in development and deployment of a training curriculum to upskill the TE engineering community on relevant topics. This position is based at our Singapore HQ.

Job Responsibilities

• Leverage communication channels to create awareness and drive initiatives that promote engagement of AI throughout the TE engineering community.


• Strengthen communication across BUs to encourage global alignment on AI strategy and innovation.


• Publicize the latest AI innovations in the AI Hub and democratize them to all BUs


• Assist in the development of AI training curriculum for the TE engineering community, addressing various levels of AI expertise, and deploy the curriculum at the enterprise scale.


• Assist in project management such as schedule planning and project documentation.


• Work in a multi-disciplinary environment with specialists in data science, electronics, material science, mechanics, additive manufacturing, and other fields.

Job Requirements

• Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or related field


• Familiar with digital marketing tools such as social media management, advertising, video hosting and editing, graphic design, etc.


• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and design/video editing software


• Strong verbal and written communication skills with interpersonal skills to work with multiple levels of management and stakeholders from various backgrounds within the organization


• Strong interest in technology and writing


• Good eye for design


• Organised person with attention to detail


• Positive team player with an ownership mindset, and able to multitask in a dynamic environment, yet able to work independently.

Preferred:

• Knowledge in effective project management strategies and tactics


• Knowledge in training curriculum design


• Familiar with TE products, such as connectors, cables, sensors etc.


• Broad knowledge of data science and machine learning


• Broad knowledge of material development, manufacturing processes and product design
