Trainee, Landscape Architecture

JOB SUMMARY:
The Trainee, Landscape Architecture supports the landscape design team in developing creative, sustainable and technically sound landscape solutions. The role provides exposure to the landscape architectural design process from concept development through documentation and project coordination, while building foundational knowledge of landscape planning, planting design and environmental considerations in the built environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist the landscape architecture team in preparing concept and schematic design proposals.  
• Support the development of landscape design drawings, presentations and technical documentation.  
• Conduct site research, precedent studies and landscape analysis to inform design proposals.  
• Assist in the preparation of design reports, presentation materials and visualisations.  
• Support planting design studies including plant selection and landscape material research.  
• Assist in coordinating landscape design elements with architectural, engineering and other consultant teams.  
• Participate in site visits and assist in documenting site conditions and construction progress.  
• Support preparation of tender documentation, specifications and schedules where required.  
• Maintain organised project documentation and assist in administrative support for project teams.  
• Participate in internal learning activities and knowledge sharing to build professional capabilities in landscape architecture.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Diploma or Degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Urban Design or a related discipline.  
• Basic understanding of landscape design principles, planting design and environmental sustainability.  
• Familiarity with design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.  
• Interest in landscape planning, urban spaces and ecological design within the built environment.  
• Strong willingness to learn and develop professional skills in landscape architecture.  
• Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams. • Ability to manage tasks responsibly and contribute positively in a team environment.
