Responsibilities
• Research, design, and develop computer software or specialised utility programs. • Analyse user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. • Work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements. • Update software, enhances existing software capabilities, and develops and direct software testing and validation procedures.
Requirements
• Extensive experience in reading RPG and CLLE codes on AS400 platforms. • Proficiency in executing WRKqry commands for data retrieval and manipulation. • Strong SQL skills for database querying and manipulation. • Familiarity with Unix environments and command-line operations. • Experience in SAP Crystal Reports for designing and generating reports. • Knowledge of AS400 decommissioning best practices and methodologies. • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic project environment. • Previous experience in AS400 decommissioning projects is a must
Key Skills Needed
