AVP- Finance Ops - 6-12 Months Contract - Up To SGD 7k - Part-Time

We are looking for an AVP Finance Operations for our Global Banking client, to drive month-end accounting operations, regulatory compliance, and system-driven enhancements across distribution, health, and fixed asset portfolios. As a key subject matter expert, this role connects Finance, Business Analysis, and IT teams to streamline general ledger interfaces, balance sheet reconciliations, and operational automation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly general ledger close operations according to organizational policies and regional regulatory schedules, focusing on health, fixed assets, and distribution processes.
• Perform comprehensive balance sheet verification for insurance accounts, reducing unresolved breaks, refining aging analysis, and improving audit quality.
• Function as the primary finance representative alongside IT and BA workstreams to address policy administration system interface errors, Day-2 change tickets, and technology-driven control improvements.
• Partner with leadership to define project parameters, structure implementation plans, and track major milestones for IT initiatives.
• Formulate detailed operational execution roadmaps and partner with cross-functional teams to automate manual processes during system migrations.
• Provide specialized accounting advisory for product development programs and system enhancement requests.
• Coordinate with Distribution Support Services (DSS) and Distribution Performance Management (DPM) teams to confirm financial bookings correspond correctly to production cycles and insurance funds.
• Maintain oversight of End-User Computing (EUC) governance models and continuously strengthen operational control frameworks.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or an accredited professional credential (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent).
• 4 to 5 years of hands-on expertise in financial operations, ideally with a background in the Life Insurance domain.
• Experience managing life insurance commission structures, distribution expenditure bookings, and policy administration-to-GL integrations.
• Exposure to IT-enabled process optimization, control upgrade projects, or system migration roadmaps.
• Capability to leverage modern data tools (such as Alteryx, Power Builder, or AI applications) for workflow simplification and automated reporting.
