Finance Assistant ( 8-Mth Contract Up To $3.5k West Region ) - Part-Time

We are looking for a Finance Assistant to support fixed asset operations at a government research agency. This is a hands-on, coordination-focused role — you will be processing asset transfers, supporting staff exit clearance, and assisting with audit preparation.

What you'll do:

• Review and validate asset transfer requests in SAP S/4 to ensure proper documentation and compliance

• Manage intercompany asset transfers, including creating new asset numbers for receiving entities

• Produce monthly asset transfer reports and track KPIs related to asset movements

• Handle staff exit clearance — ensure all fixed assets are accounted for during employee offboarding

• Assist with asset tagging duties as needed to keep operations running smoothly

• Extract supporting documents for auditors and coordinate with custodians for asset sighting

• Support asset disposal requests raised by custodians in SAP S/4

Who we're looking for:

• Minimum Higher NITEC or Diploma in Finance or Accounting

• 1–2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or asset-related work

• Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic reporting)

• Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Able to multi-task and deliver results under tight timelines

• Experience with SAP S/4 HANA is a plus
