Finance Business Partner - Part-Time

We're seeking an experienced finance professional to serve as a Finance Business Partner, supporting budgeting, forecasting, technology investment governance and portfolio management. You'll work closely with technology leaders, project managers and stakeholders to translate business priorities into financial plans, provide investment insights and strengthen financial governance.

Key responsibilities:

Finance business partnering & planning

• Partner divisions on budgeting, forecasting & planning

• Provide financial analysis, insights & recommendations to support leadership decisions

• Challenge financial assumptions; identify risks, opportunities & optimisation areas

Budget management & forecasting

• Support annual budget planning & periodic forecasting

• Monitor budget utilisation & spending trends; conduct variance analysis

• Maintain multi-year financial plans covering OPEX, CAPEX & technology investments

Technology investment & portfolio governance

• Support governance, prioritisation & tracking of technology investments, programmes & projects

• Monitor project financial performance & investment outcomes

• Prepare portfolio dashboards & management reports for governance forums

Reporting, analytics & improvement

• Develop management dashboards & executive reporting materials

• Ensure adherence to financial governance requirements

• Leverage data analytics for management insights & performance reporting

• Identify automation opportunities & support continuous improvement across TBM processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Information Systems or related discipline

• Minimum 6 years in Finance Business Partnering, FP&A, Budget Management, Technology Finance, Portfolio Management, Management Consulting or Technology Business Management

• Experience working with senior stakeholders on strategic planning & investment decisions

• Advanced Microsoft Excel — financial modelling, budgeting & forecasting, scenario analysis, Power Query, pivot tables, dashboard development, large dataset analysis

• Strong financial analysis, management reporting & business case development capabilities

• Strong stakeholder management, analytical & problem-solving skills

Good to have:

Power BI · Power Automate · Portfolio governance, data analytics, SQL or Python · Experience in technology, public sector, financial services or transformation environments
