Job Summary

The Finance Director leads financial planning, reporting, budgeting, treasury, and compliance functions. This role provides strategic financial guidance to senior leadership, ensures sound financial management, and supports sustainable business growth through effective oversight and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals to drive sustainable growth
• Prepare long-term financial forecasts and business plans to inform strategic decisions
• Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor budget performance to recommend corrective actions
• Prepare detailed financial forecasts and cash flow projections to optimize liquidity management
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements for executives, board members, and stakeholders
• Analyze financial performance data to identify trends and provide actionable insights
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and liquidity to optimize working capital and investment activities
• Monitor funding requirements and evaluate financing options to support operational needs
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements to mitigate risks
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and support audit processes
• Lead, mentor, and develop finance and accounting teams by setting performance objectives and monitoring productivity
• Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the finance function
• Liaise with auditors, banks, investors, regulators, and external advisors to maintain strong stakeholder relationships
• Support senior management with financial analysis and recommendations to inform business decisions

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CIMA preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software
