Finance Transformation Analyst (Insurance Process Improvement) - Part-Time

The Job

• Managing monthly financial book close in line with group financial reporting and local regulatory reporting timeline for Finance Operations with main areas covering distribution, health and fixed asset related process.
• Worked on balance sheet substantiation and reconciliation for insurance accounts, improving reconciliation quality, ageing analysis and break resolution.
• Be the finance operations “Point of Contact” working with the Business Analyst /IT /Technology workstream partners on interface exceptions from the respective policy admin system to general ledger , Day2 change Request , new product , process /control efficiencies driven by system support .
• Support the management to establish the scope, plan, and achieve the milestones and critical path for IT Project.
• Establishing operational readiness and automation efficiencies in partnership with IT and Operations teams
• Developing detailed execution plans and managing delivery against migration plans with clear programmed reporting
• Support the product development team and system Day2 change request activities as the main finance subject matter expert (SME).
• Work with the Distribution function [Distribution Support Services (DSS) and Distribution Performance Management (DPM)] to ensure correct booking align to the production period and insurance fund.
• Managing the end user computing (EUC) controls Finance Operations.
• Commission and Distribution accounts related “Balance sheet substantiation and reconciliation” support to distribution team.
• Support the controls maintenance and control enhancements.

The Talent

• Degree in accounting and finance
• Professional qualification in accounting and finance
• 4-5 years’ experience in finance operations preferably in Life insurance industry
• Prior experience in managing finance transformation projects and driving IT enabled finance operations or control enhancement projects.
• Experience in managing Life insurance commission & distribution cost booking will be a distinct advantage.
• Ability to adapt to the current GL and policy admin system and operational simplifications using Alteryx , Power builder and AI will be an added advantage.
