Financial Accountant Financial Reporting & General Ledger #HDC - Part-Time

We are seeking a Financial Accountant to support financial reporting, accounting operations, and process improvements within a collaborative and dynamic environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on key financial initiatives while contributing to business performance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, assets, liabilities, and other accounting activities.
• Support revenue accounting processes and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
• Review and maintain billing and financial data, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare accounting reports, reconciliations, procedural documentation, and financial analyses within established timelines.
• Assist in quarterly reporting and support audit requirements where applicable.
• Participate in cross-functional projects, providing accounting expertise and financial insights.
• Develop, document, and enhance accounting processes and internal controls while supporting implementation of new initiatives.
• Provide guidance and knowledge sharing on financial processes and perform other accounting duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• At least 3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with accounting or ERP systems will be an advantage.
