The Company

Join a well-established and forward-looking privately owned Shipping MNC with global presence. Due to expanding business needs, we are actively recruiting for a Group Financial Controller to be the first finance hire based in Singapore.

The Role

Reporting to the CFO, you will be building the local finance team and overseeing statutory accounting, reporting and consolidation of Singapore entities across monthly, quarterly and annual cycles. Manage complex consolidation including joint ventures, equity method accounting, non-controlling interests, partially owned subsidiaries, intercompany eliminations and multi-layer ownership structures. Prepare consolidation support schedules, technical accounting analyses and audit documentation. Coordinate intercompany reconciliations across jurisdictions. Be the key point of contact with auditors, banks, legal counsel and regulatory bodies. Design and implement scalable finance processes and controls in Singapore.

Your Profile

To qualify for this role, you must have a Bachelor Degree in Accountancy with minimum 10 years of relevant experience ideally in Big 4 and shipping MNCs. It is essential to have strong knowledge in complex consolidation work and strong IFRS technical knowledge. We are seeking a detail-oriented, resourceful, and proactive Finance professional with excellent interpersonal skills.
