Job Summary

IT Desktop Engineer to provide end user support and maintain workplace IT systems. Responsible for troubleshooting, device setup, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals to ensure uninterrupted user productivity
• Install and configure operating systems, applications, and standard tools to meet user and business requirements
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues promptly to minimize downtime
• Manage IT setup for onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure secure and efficient user transitions
• Administer user accounts and access rights to maintain security and compliance
• Support basic network connectivity issues including LAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN to maintain seamless connectivity
• Maintain accurate asset inventory and document support tickets to track IT resources and issues
• Coordinate with vendors for timely repairs and maintenance of IT equipment

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Degree in IT or related field
• 4 to 6 years of desktop support experience
• Proficient in Windows operating systems, Office 365, and Active Directory administration
• Experience using ticketing tools such as ServiceNow for issue tracking and resolution
• Basic networking knowledge to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills to support end users and resolve IT challenges

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• IT certifications relevant to desktop support and networking
• Exposure to enterprise IT environments or ITIL framework
