Linux Engineer- (Shift Based)-Contract Role - Part-Time

We are seeking a skilled Linux Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise Linux-based infrastructure across data centre environments. The role focuses on RHEL/Linux system administration, automation, performance tuning, and platform reliability while supporting mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-one experience in Linux platforms, infrastructure automation, and enterprise operations, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, production-critical environment.

Responsibilities

·       Install, configure, harden, patch, and maintain Linux systems (primarily RHEL-based distributions)

·       Perform OS tuning, performance optimization, and capacity planning

·       Ensure system security compliance (CIS benchmarks, patching, vulnerability remediation)

·       Manage Linux systems across development, testing, and production environments

·       Provide Level 3 support for Linux-related incidents and issues

·       Support high availability and disaster recovery configurations

Requirement

·       Minimum 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration in enterprise environments

·       Strong hands-on expertise in RHEL / Linux (LVM, networking, kernel tuning, system internals)

·       Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible preferred)

·       Proficiency in shell scripting(Bash) and familiarity with Python

·       Experience working in large-scale, production environments

·       Familiarity with containers(Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus

·       Understanding of security hardening and compliance standards

·       Red Hat certification(RHCSA/RHCE) is highly desirable

·       ITIL certification is an advantage
