Department: Ops COO – Nostro Reconciliation Unit (NRU)
Job Purpose: The Ops COO – NRU provides comprehensive support in managing Nostro and General Ledger account reconciliations.The unit comprises three functions: Nostro account reconciliation, General Ledger reconciliation for consumer banking, and Business Management Support (BMS).The BMS team is responsible for managing the reconciliation system's static data, feed processes, and producing daily escalation and MIS aging reports for stakeholders.As an Analyst, you will support the BMS team and have the opportunity to participate in new business initiatives and projects.
Assist in managing reconciliation system processes, including static data updates, statement data uploads, and monitoring upstream data feeds.
Support the analysis, creation, and testing of reconciliation system auto-match rules.
Help identify and escalate any exceptions, errors, or abnormal issues during daily processing.
Learn to respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
Develop working knowledge of relevant workflows and office systems, and contribute suggestions for process improvements to reduce operational risks and increase productivity.
Support the preparation of Weekly/Monthly MIS reports for senior management.
Assist in different testing cycles, analyze results, and submit observations to the Project Manager.
Ensure all work performed adheres to established procedures, policies, guidelines, and standards.
Maintain full compliance with all organizational policies, guidelines, and codes of conduct.
Gain exposure to reconciliation process re-engineering aimed at standardization and control improvement.
Understand and contribute to the enhancement of auto-matching rules.
Develop an ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different business units.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or an equivalent field.
A keen interest in banking operations or technology.
Prior experience is not required, but a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges is essential.
Basic understanding of data analytical concepts and the ability to collect and interpret information.
Learning Attitude: Strong desire to learn and adapt to new systems, processes, and challenges.
Problem-Solving: Eagerness to identify issues and contribute to finding solutions.
Interpersonal Skills: Good communication skills and maturity to engage with team members and stakeholders.
Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
IT Skills: Good command of MS Office.
