Senior Assistant Manager, Finance (Research Grants / Ops] - Part-Time

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive finance professional to oversee grant management, financial reporting, and compliance while partnering closely with research teams and key stakeholders.

• Working Hours: Office Hours 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial operations, including payments, invoicing, and fixed asset administration.
• Monitor research funds to ensure sufficient funding availability and compliance with grant requirements.
• Ensure financial processes comply with university policies and support year-end audit and tax reporting activities.
• Develop, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Manage research grant financial records and systems to ensure timely and accurate grant submissions in accordance with funding terms and university guidelines.
• Prepare grant expense claims, financial reports, and management reports for senior management.
• Partner with research teams on budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors for grant certification and year-end audits.
• Lead, mentor, and develop team members while identifying training and development opportunities.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualifications (e.g. ISCA/CA Singapore) will be an added advantage.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Experience with SAP is preferred.
