Join us a Structurer in our Repo and Risk Transformation team

·       Repo & Risk Transformation Structuring (R&RT) is a successful and strategically important front office desk, and you’ll be responsible for innovating and structuring fixed income financing transactions across a broad range of asset classes to service the UK, EU and APAC customer base

·       You’ll be involved in product development to market new ideas to support structuring activities, pitching and negotiating transactions with clients, undertaking research and analysis of asset classes, as well as working with a range of stakeholders across the bank

·       We’ll look to you to help convert live trade opportunities into executed transactions, working towards an ambitious financial budget and funding targets with continued growth aspirations

What you’ll do

·       You’ll be a valued member of a global structuring desk with a broad remit across margined financing solutions (repo, collateral switches and other structured financing solutions). The primary focus of the role will be the structuring and execution of margined secured financing transactions across a range of asset classes, in particular in our key growth areas of commercial real estate (CRE) in the UK and Northern Europe and significant risk transfer (SRT) financing transactions, as well as liability-side financing transactions to raise funding for NWM

·       You’ll interact globally with clients, trading, origination, legal and other support functions to pitch, analyse, negotiate, and execute transactions, as well as working with external counsel (where required) to identify and resolve structural risks

·       You’ll work with customers across the APAC region and maintain relationships with key UK and EU customers to drive global R&RT activity

·       You’ll take a leading role on transactions with regular interactions with the R&RT London team to efficiently apply the R&RT toolkit for our APAC customers, including managing the pipeline and hosting regular update calls with the London team

·       You’ll support the R&RT London team by assisting with regular portfolio monitoring processes and capital/returns models

·       You’ll take all reasonable steps to ensure structuring activities are in line with our policies covering conduct, operational, credit, and regulatory risks

The skills you’ll need

We’re looking for someone with front office, client-facing experience in the financial sector, ideally with structuring and transaction execution experience in both London and the APAC region. You’ll also have the ability to quantitatively evaluate financial risk and negotiate legal documentation to identify and explain structural risks.

You’ll also demonstrate:

·       Specialised product expertise for margined financing transactions, leading to the innovation of new solutions for NWM and our clients

·       An in-depth understanding of our key growth areas of CRE in the UK and Northern Europe and SRTfinancing transactions, as well as liability-side financing transactions to raise funding for NatWest Markets

·       Advanced Excel skills to support the R&RT London team with regular portfolio monitoring processes and capital/returns models

·       Practical knowledge of core banking capital regulations and accounting principles

·       Confidence when presenting and negotiating both internally and with external clients

·       The ability to manage multi-faceted global projects
