Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to create and maintain clear, structured documentation for the investment team, covering our portfolio management and reporting processes. You will work with business and technical stakeholders to turn complex financial calculations, workflows, data flows, and system decisions into accessible white papers, methodology documents, SOPs, reference guides, and visual diagrams.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain technical and operational documentation.
· Translate complex financial and technical information, including Python code, into clear materials for different audiences.
· Document portfolio reporting calculations, workflows, data flows, and key system decisions.
· Create process maps, data-flow diagrams, flowcharts, and other supporting visuals.
· Work with portfolio managers, developers, and data teams to gather and verify information.
· Review documentation for gaps, inconsistencies, and unclear explanations.
· Maintain clear documentation standards and update materials as processes and systems evolve.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any discipline.
· Experience as a Technical Writer, Documentation Specialist, or in a similar documentation-focused role.
· Excellent written communication and the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
· Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
· Ability to understand financial calculations and technical systems.
· Strong Excel skills and working knowledge of Python sufficient to understand calculation and data-processing logic.
Nice to Have
· Experience in asset management, investment operations, portfolio reporting, or financial services.
· Familiarity with investment performance concepts such as TWR, MWR, or GIPS.
