Trade Support Associate (9-Month Maternity Cover)

We're supporting our banking client, a leading global financial services firm in Singapore, to find a Trade Support Associate for a 9-month maternity cover contract, starting in October.

The team supports trade lifecycle activity across Cash Equity, Fixed Income, Listed Derivatives, Equity Derivatives, Fixed Income Derivatives and Commodities, along with client processing and regulatory reporting for the Singapore business. You'll work closely with sales and trading desks based locally, as well as regional trade support teams

What you'll be doing

• Capturing and checking out trades accurately and on time
• Resolving trade discrepancies with counterparties, working closely with trading and sales
• Monitoring and processing trade lifecycle events
• Reconciling and resolving trade processing exceptions
• Partnering with technology teams on new platforms and system enhancements
• Working with legal, compliance and project teams on regulatory reform requirements
• Supporting daily control processes for regulatory reporting to local regulators
• Providing backup cover for other functional teams within Singapore Operations as needed

What we're looking for

• A university degree with 3-5 years' experience in an operations role
• Trade support experience gained at a global investment bank is a strong plus, particularly in Commodities or Fixed Income OTC
• Comfortable liaising directly with sales, traders and clients
• Strong personal integrity and a high level of commitment
• Solid grasp of products, business flow and operational processes
• Clear communicator who works well across teams and locations
• Detail-oriented with strong risk awareness and a consistently high standard of work

• 9-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave
• Start date: October
• 15 days annual leave, pro-rated
• Based in Singapore
