Claims Manager - Part-Time

Summary

We are looking for an experienced Claims Manager to support a claims automation project. You will work closely with Claims, Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and Project teams to ensure the automated claims solution is accurate, reliable, and ready for production. This is a project-based role focused on testing, validation, and process improvement rather than day-to-day claims processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide claims expertise to support the development of AI-driven claims automation.
• Validate claims data, business rules, and automation outputs to ensure accuracy.
• Build and maintain a database of non-payable claim items to improve automated decision-making.
• Compare manual and automated claims outcomes, investigate discrepancies, and recommend improvements.
• Validate Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) outputs and ensure data quality.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including defect identification, retesting, and business sign-off.
• Prepare claims datasets and documentation for project teams and data scientists.
• Handle exceptions and provide manual intervention for claims outside automation rules.
• Support system stabilisation during parallel runs and post go-live activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues and improve the automation solution.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree, preferably in Insurance, Financial Services, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of Accident & Health (A&H) claims experience; Life claims experience is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of claims operations and claims adjudication.
• Experience supporting UAT, testing, validation, or process improvement projects is preferred.
• Able to analyse system issues, identify gaps, and work with technical teams to deliver solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working alongside Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and project teams.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin is a plus.
