CARPENTER - Part-Time

Job Summary

Carry out all timber and formwork construction works on site, follow BCA building standards and WSH safety rules, work under construction supervisor, and ensure workmanship quality.

Key Responsibilities

* Measure, cut, shape, install timber boards, beams, supports and formwork for slabs, columns, walls and staircases

* Erect, align and dismantle formwork structures; check verticality, level and dimension accuracy before concrete pouring

* Fabricate temporary timber structures: site platforms, access walkways, support frames and safety barriers

* Install wooden fixtures, door frames, window frames, skirting and decorative timber finishing works

* Inspect timber materials for defects, damaged or warped lumber; report material shortages to supervisor

* Operate hand & power carpentry tools: circular saw, drill, planer, nail gun; maintain tools in safe working condition

* Strictly comply with site safety regulations, wear full PPE at all times; attend daily toolbox safety talks

* Assist in housekeeping: tidy timber scraps, clear trip hazards and stack lumber neatly after work

* Carry out minor repairs to temporary timber structures on site

* Follow construction drawings, method statements and instructions from Construction Supervisor

* Stop work immediately if unsafe working conditions are found and report to safety supervisor

* Complete allocated tasks within scheduled timeline and minimize timber wastage

Local Singapore Requirements

* Hold valid construction worker safety induction certificate

* Skilled in formwork carpentry (main demand for Singapore building projects)

* Able to follow multi-lingual site instructions
