CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR - Part-Time

Job Summary

Oversee daily construction site operations, coordinate manpower, monitor project progress, ensure work complies with BCA & MOM WSH regulations, liaise with project managers, subcontractors, safety supervisors and workers, and deliver works within schedule, cost and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage daily construction activities including masonry, scaffolding, formwork, reinforcement, finishing and civil works; allocate tasks to local & foreign WP workers

* Track project timeline, identify delays, adjust work sequences and report progress updates to Project Manager daily

* Conduct material receiving checks, verify quantity & quality of steel, cement, sand, timber and construction fittings; control material wastage on site

* Enforce site safety rules together with Safety Supervisor; stop unsafe work practices, conduct daily toolbox safety briefings for workers

* Coordinate with subcontractors (electrical, plumbing, tiling) to align cross-trade work sequences and avoid work clashes

* Carry out regular quality inspections for finished works, rectify defects immediately and ensure compliance with BCA building codes

* Maintain daily site records: manpower attendance, work progress logs, material usage reports and site inspection checklists

* Communicate site constraints, manpower shortages, equipment breakdowns or material shortages to PM promptly

* Supervise operation of construction machinery (scissor lift, hoist, excavator) and ensure operators hold valid MOM/BCA certifications

* Assist in risk assessment preparation, follow Permit-to-Work (PTW) protocols for high-risk tasks: working at height, excavation, hot work

* Liaise with BCA, MOM inspectors during site audits, arrange required documentation and complete corrective actions as instructed

* Manage site housekeeping, organize proper stacking of construction materials and clear walkways to eliminate trip hazards

* Resolve minor on-site disputes between workers and subcontractors to maintain smooth site workflow

Mandatory Requirements (Singapore)

* Possess recognized BCA Construction Supervisor certification

* Familiar with MOM Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) legislations and BCA building standards

* Experience managing foreign construction WP workers
