Fire Protection System Engineer - Part-Time

Job Responsibilities

·Responsible for planning, designing, evaluating, and managing fire protection and life safety systems for buildings, industrial facilities, and infrastructure projects to minimize fire risks and protect people and property.

· Key responsibilities include the design of fire protection systems such as automatic sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, smoke control and exhaust systems, and fire suppression equipment; conductingfire risk assessments;

· Reviewing compliance with fire codes, regulations, and industry standards;

· Performing fire and smoke modeling analyses; developing performance-based fire protection designs; and establishing fire safety strategies.

· Collaborate closely with architects, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineers, contractors, and regulatory authorities.

· Participate in design reviews, construction supervision, system testing, and commissioning to ensure fire protection systems meet applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.

·Provide technical fire safety expertise, support regulatory approvals, and develop effective solutions to fire protection and life safety challenges.

Job Requirement

· Minimum 3–5 years of site experience in fire protection systems for semiconductor fabs, high-tech facilities, or industrial construction projects.

· Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Engineering, Building Services, or related disciplines.

·Candidates shall possess qualifications and licenses in compliance with applicable local regulations and authority requirements.

·Strong hands-on experience in on-site supervision of fire protection system installations.

Familiar with Singapore fire safety requirements, codes, and authority inspection processes administered by Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).

· Knowledge of fire protection testing, commissioning, and authority inspection workflows is an advantage.

· Able to work independently on site, and coordinate effectively with project teams, contractors, system vendors, and Clients.

· Willing to work in a site-based and shift-based environment, as required by the project.
