Our client is a globally established engineering and infrastructure organisation with a strong presence across major energy and industrial projects in Asia. The company is involved in the delivery of large-scale LNG, oil & gas and infrastructure developments, with expertise spanning engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and project delivery.
Role Purpose
The Interface Manager will be responsible for leading and managing all interface coordination activities across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and operations teams for large-scale LNG and oil & gas projects. The role is critical in ensuring seamless coordination, clear interface ownership and successful project execution across multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage interface coordination activities across all project phases
Define and maintain interface boundaries, responsibilities and handover scopes between contractors, subcontractors, vendors and stakeholders
Develop and implement interface management procedures, protocols and interface registers
Monitor interface deliverables and ensure interface milestones are incorporated into project schedules
Identify interface risks, technical conflicts and coordination issues, and develop mitigation plans
Coordinate closely with engineering, construction, commissioning and operations teams to ensure alignment
Support commissioning, start-up and project handover activities
Ensure all interface documentation and coordination activities comply with project specifications and client requirements
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent from a recognised institution
Minimum 15 years of experience in LNG and oil & gas projects
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar Interface Management role on major projects
Strong understanding of interface boundaries, handover management and coordination protocols
Experience managing interface risks and mitigation strategies
Proven experience supporting commissioning, start-up and handover activities
Experience working on major projects within Southeast Asia preferred
Key Competencies
Strong stakeholder and coordination management skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage complex multidisciplinary interfaces in fast-paced project environments
Strong planning, organisational and risk management capabilities
