Licensed Electrical Workers (LEWs) - Part-Time

Job Summary

You will lead electrical safety and compliance efforts as the appointed Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW), managing inspections, documentation, and regulatory submissions to ensure safe and reliable electrical installations.

Responsibilities

• Act as the appointed Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) to oversee electrical installation safety and compliance.
• Manage submission, renewal, and correspondence for the electrical licence with relevant authorities to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Ensure electrical installations comply with all applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
• Provide approved licences and statutory documentation copies for record-keeping and audit purposes.
• Conduct periodic inspections of electrical installations to assess system condition and safety.
• Prepare detailed written inspection reports outlining system status, compliance, and recommended corrective actions.
• Recommend and advise on necessary maintenance, upgrades, or corrective measures to ensure electrical system reliability.
• Review documentation required for licence renewal submissions to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Review and endorse single-line diagrams and related statutory documents to verify compliance.
• Provide technical advice on electrical system operation, modifications, and improvements.
• Assess and approve additions, alterations, or new electrical connections in accordance with regulations.
• Provide certification and endorsement services as required under electrical safety regulations.
• Support statutory compliance for emergency power systems, including standby generator certification.
• Attend inspections, testing, or authority audits related to emergency power systems as needed.
