Process Engineer – Utilities - Part-Time

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Process Engineer –Utilities to support the design, operation, and optimization of utility systems in construction or industrial projects. The successful candidate will beresponsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and reliable utility processes including steam, water, gas, air, and other supporting systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, review, and optimize utility systems such as steam, compressed air, chilled water, cooling water, and gas systems.
• Support project teams in planning, installation, testing, and commissioning of utility systems.
• Review engineering drawings, process flow diagrams (PFD), and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).
• Ensure utility systems comply with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Monitor system performance and propose improvements for efficiency and reliability.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, engineers, and subcontractors on technical matters.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of process-related issues during construction and operation.
• Participate in site inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project updates.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in process engineering, preferably in utilities or industrial plants.
• Good understanding of utility systems and process engineering principles.
• Able to read and interpret PFDs, P&IDs, and engineering drawings.
• Familiar with Singapore safety standards and industrial regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in construction, oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial plant projects.
• Knowledge of commissioning and troubleshooting utility systems.
• Strong technical reporting and documentation skills.
