Quantity Surveyor (3-Month Contract – Maternity Cover) - Part-Time

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a 3-month contract to provide maternity cover. The successful candidate should be able to commence work immediately or within a short notice period.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate project cost estimates, budgets, and cost reports.
• Handle subcontractor sourcing, tendering, evaluation, and award recommendations.
• Prepare subcontract documents, progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs and ensure expenditures are within the approved budget.
• Verify subcontractors' and suppliers' claims and process payment recommendations.
• Liaise with project teams, consultants, clients, and subcontractors on commercial matters.
• Maintain proper documentation and records related to contracts and project costs.
• Perform other quantity surveying duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant QS experience in the construction industry.
• Familiar with contract administration, progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Good knowledge of construction contracts and commercial practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
