Chinese Language Teacher (Part-Time)

Job Summary

Teach Chinese language courses for Pre-school to Primary school levels, following the school curriculum. Engage with students and parents to monitor progress and maintain a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Chinese language lessons for Pre-school to Primary school students according to the school curriculum
• Communicate with parents to provide updates on student progress and address concerns
• Manage classroom activities and time effectively to ensure smooth lesson flow
• Perform simple daily upkeep tasks to maintain a conducive learning environment
• Utilize new technologies and teaching equipment to enhance lesson delivery
• Adapt work schedule to include afternoons, evenings, and weekends as required
• Collaborate with colleagues to foster a supportive and positive team environment

Required competencies and certifications

• Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree, or Master Degree in Education, Teaching, Linguistics, Chinese Languages, or an equivalent field
• Have 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience in teaching or related roles

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Demonstrate passion for teaching and engaging with children and parents
• Exhibit patience, responsibility, and a positive, cheerful attitude
• Show strong interpersonal skills in both English and Mandarin
• Ability to manage flexible work arrangements including weekend and afternoon shifts
