Part-Time Service Ambassador (Team Lead) (Rostered Schedule)

We are looking for a dependable and service-oriented Lead Service Ambassador to provide exceptional frontline support while coordinating daily shift operations. In this hands-on role, you will lead by example—welcoming and assisting visitors, ensuring smooth station coverage, supporting team readiness, and maintaining high service standards in a respectful and sensitive after-death service environment.

Shift: AM 8.00am-5.00pm or PM 12.30pm-10.00pm (3-4 shifts per week, including weekends and public holidays)

Salary: $14 - $ 17 per hour

Role Summary 

Perform full Service Ambassador role while providing first-line shift coordination. Maintain attendance, station coverage, break schedules, and staff readiness, following approved rosters and client instructions while escalating any issues promptly.

Key Responsibilities 

• Carry out all Service Ambassador duties, including visitor guidance, kiosk assistance and respectful frontline support. 

• Confirm shift attendance, punctuality, uniform and readiness before deployment. 

• Support station coverage, meal-break sequencing and handovers according to the approved roster. 

• Guide new, relief or replacement staff on reporting points, service standards, role boundaries and escalation channels. 

• Escalate late arrivals, no-shows, visitor incidents, service issues and coverage risks promptly to the AMS Account Manager and authorised site representative. 

• Maintain basic shift records, including attendance exceptions, approved changes, incidents and handover notes. 

• Provide immediate coaching on conduct and service standards while remaining a working member of the frontline team. 

• Do not approve self-swaps, redeploy staff or alter operational instructions without the required authorisation. 

Requirements 

• Prior customer-facing experience is required; previous shift-lead, team-lead, supervisory or on-ground coordination experience is preferred. 

• Communicate clearly in spoken and written English; additional language capability is an advantage. 

• Calm, decisive and respectful when handling attendance issues, service incidents or emotionally sensitive interactions. 

• Organise basic shift information, provide clear instructions and escalate matters promptly. 

• Reliable, punctual, well-groomed and available for rostered weekend and public-holiday shifts.
