Communications & Community Engagement Executive - Part-Time

Job Summary

Develop and execute communication strategies aligned with the church’s mission and liturgical calendar. Manage newcomer engagement and content across multiple platforms. Support youth and young adult programmes and church operations with coordination and IT assistance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement communication strategies aligned with the church’s mission, ministry priorities, and church calendar
• Design, coordinate, and manage the newcomer engagement journey using Planning Center and Church Center platforms
• Create, curate, and publish content across the church website, weekly e-newsletters, social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube), printed publications, and church signage
• Maintain a forward-looking communications calendar covering church seasons, ministry activities, and major events
• Partner with ministry leaders to promote worship services, outreach initiatives, missions activities, youth programmes, small groups, and parish events
• Ensure consistency in branding, visual identity, and tone across all communication platforms
• Monitor and analyse engagement metrics including website traffic, social media performance, attendance trends, and subscriber growth, and recommend improvements
• Provide communications support for special projects, parish campaigns, and community initiatives
• Provide IT support to the church as needed
• Support the planning, coordination, and administration of youth and young adult programmes and activities
• Assist in engaging youth and young adults through digital platforms, communications, and community-building initiatives
• Collaborate with ministry leaders to organise events, gatherings, and programmes that encourage participation and foster community life
• Provide logistical, administrative, and coordination support for youth and young adult ministry activities as required
• Support church operations during weekends, public holidays, and special church services when required
• Perform other duties as reasonably assigned by the Vicar
