Multimedia Executive - Part-Time

Job Overview:

We are seeking a creative and skilled Multimedia Executive/ Graphic Designer to join our team at Golden Pagoda Buddhist Temple. The successful candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and managing all design works related to Buddhist ceremonies, events, and temple activities. This role requires fluency in design software, a strong understanding of visual communication, and the ability to work independently in a Buddhist Temple environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize, design, and manage all design works relating to Buddhist ceremonies or events, including flyers, posters, signages, reports, magazines, name display cards, announcements, labels, signs, and website materials.
• Develop original creative concepts required for all design works to effectively communicate messages for publicity.
• Liaise with printing companies on artwork requirements and ensure high-quality production.
• Record temple activities through photography and videography to document events.
• Assist in temple events and activities as needed.
• Undertake any other duties as assigned by the temple management.

Requirement:

• Diploma in Visual Communication/ Multimedia or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in graphic design.
• Fluency in design/graphics software including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
• Knowledge of photography and videography techniques.
• Willingness to work on public holidays or weekends during special or important temple events.
• Creative mindset with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a Buddhist Temple environment.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin to communicate with internal and external Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
• Ability to write and type in Chinese using Hanyu Pinyin to handle documents in Chinese characters.
