Product Designer (1 Year Contract) - Part-Time

We are looking for a creative, user-centric, and data-driven Product Designer to design exceptional digital experiences across our client's web and mobile platforms. You will play a key role in shaping end-to-end customer journeys by transforming user insights, business requirements, and product strategy into intuitive, engaging, and high-converting experiences.

You will be working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and other Designers, you will own the design process from discovery through implementation, ensuring every solution is both visually compelling and backed by data.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end product design process, from user discovery and problem definition through ideation, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, testing, and final delivery.
• Design intuitive, user-focused experiences that align with customer needs, business objectives, and product strategy.
• Create user flows, journey maps, wireframes, interactive prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, and detailed design specifications using tools such as Figma.
• Leverage both quantitative and qualitative research to inform design decisions, including user analytics, usability testing, customer interviews, surveys, and behavioural insights.
• Translate complex business requirements into simple, elegant, and scalable user experiences.
• Work closely with Product Managers to define user problems, validate hypotheses, and prioritise design opportunities.
• Collaborate with Engineers throughout development to ensure high-quality implementation and design consistency.
• Conduct design reviews and iterate solutions based on stakeholder feedback, usability findings, and performance metrics.
• Contribute to and maintain a scalable Design System by creating reusable components, patterns, and documentation.
• Present design concepts, rationale, and recommendations confidently to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure accessibility, usability, responsiveness, and consistency across all digital touchpoints.
• Analyse product performance metrics and user behaviour to continuously optimise customer journeys and conversion rates.
• Participate actively in design critiques, workshops, brainstorming sessions, sprint planning, and cross-functional discussions.
• Stay current with emerging UX/UI trends, design methodologies, and digital product best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in Product Design, UX Design, UI Design, or a related role.
• Experience with A/B testing and usability research 
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design projects across web and/or mobile applications.
• Proven experience using both qualitative research and quantitative data to inform design decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex user problems through research, ideation, prototyping, testing, and visual execution.
• Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools, particularly Figma.
• Solid understanding of UX principles, interaction design, visual hierarchy, information architecture, and usability best practices.
