AI Vision And Deep Learning Lecturer - Part-Time

Job Summary

The Lecturer in the Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence (MSc AI) programme is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, facilitating student learning, assessing student performance, and contributing to the continuous enhancement of academic quality. The lecturer is expected to maintain professional standards in accordance with institutional policies, regulatory requirements, and the awarding university's academic regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning

• Deliver postgraduate lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars in Artificial Intelligence discipline.
• Prepare lesson plans, enhancing teaching materials, learning resources, and assessments aligned with approved module specifications.
• Facilitate engaging, student-centred learning using appropriate pedagogical approaches and digital learning technologies.
• Support both face-to-face and online/blended learning delivery where applicable.
• Maintain accurate attendance and teaching records.

Student Support

• Provide academic guidance and consultation to students.
• Monitor student progress and identify students requiring academic intervention.
• Offer timely feedback on assessments and learning performance.
• Respond to student enquiries professionally and promptly.

Assessment

• Design and administer assessments in accordance with the approved assessment strategy.
• Mark assignments, projects, presentations, and examinations within the stipulated timeframe.
• Prepare marking rubrics and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in internal moderation and second marking processes.
• Ensure academic integrity and report suspected cases of plagiarism or academic misconduct.

Curriculum Development

• Review and update module content to reflect current developments in Artificial Intelligence.
• Recommend improvements to curriculum, teaching methods, and assessment strategies.
• Contribute to new programme development and academic enhancement initiatives.

Academic Quality Assurance

• Comply with institutional academic policies, quality assurance procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in programme reviews, moderation, and quality assurance activities.
• Prepare documentation required for audits and programme reviews.
• Support accreditation, EduTrust, and regulatory compliance activities.

Professional Development

• Maintain current knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, AI vision and Deep learning,  Data Warehousing and Big Data, and Cloud Computing and Internet of Things.
• Participate in professional development, industry engagement, conferences, and scholarly activities.
• Contribute to research publications and professional practice where appropriate.

Qualifications

Essential

• Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline with 5 years of working experiences in related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience in higher education.
• Strong knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and contemporary computing technologies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred

• PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications in Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Data Science, or related technologies.
• Industry experience in AI application development or research.
