Contract Period: From 29 July 2026 to 30 October 2027.
Working hours:
· Mondays to Wednesdays & Fridays: 7.30am to 3pm, inclusive of 1 hour break with 6.5 working hours
· Thursdays: 7:30am to 5pm, inclusive of 1 hour break with 8.5 working hours
· Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
· Service is also not required on Home-based learning Days, School Vacation periods and Scheduled School Holidays (e.g. Youth Day holiday, Day after National Day and Teachers’ Day)
Scope of Services:
The appointed Discipline Support Officer (DSO) shall work closely with the staff members of the school to complement and support the Student Management (SM)team in promoting a positive and proactive approach to student discipline, so that all students can learn in a safe and orderly environment
Support daily discipline structures and supervision
· Maintain a visible presence across school spaces (e.g. corridors, canteen) through systematic patrols to support student behaviour and safety
· Respond promptly to emerging discipline cases during the school day
· Support the implementation of school routines and expectations
(e.g. grooming checks, late-coming monitoring etc) to reinforce a culture of self-discipline
Ensure timely and consistent case investigation and disciplinary actions
· Conduct fair, objective, and thorough investigations into student discipline cases
· Support the implementation of disciplinary actions such as detention, school service, in-house suspension, behavioural monitoring and other discipline-related follow-ups
Maintain discipline records and support data analysis
· Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date records of student discipline cases, interventions and follow-up actions
· Monitor and analyse discipline data and behavioural trends to identify emerging concerns and propose strategies for preventive intervention
Promote a culture of care and restorative discipline
· Guide students to reflect on their actions and take responsibility for their behaviour
· Facilitate restorative conversations to repair relationships affected by misconduct
Support communication and partnership with parents
· Communicate professionally and sensitively with parents in a timely manner regarding student behaviour, discipline cases, and follow-up actions
· Support restorative approaches by facilitating constructive conversations between students, parents, and the school when appropriate
Qualifications, skills and experience shall minimally have:
· Must have former working experience in uniformed service background (Police, Prison Service or equivalent).
· Preferably in youth-related case investigation and restorative work such as behavioural support.
· Competent in case investigation
· Conflict management and de-escalation
· Calm and firm yet respectful approach when handling challenging student situations
· Sound judgement, discretion and professionalism
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Alignment with care-based and restorative discipline
· Belief in student growth and developmental support
· Respect for confidentiality and student dignity
· Comfortable with the use of emails, MS Word, data entry in MS Excel, MS Powerpoint (or equivalent) and Google online collaborative tools
