Job Description - Drama Teacher - Part-Time

Are you passionate about nurturing young talent and fostering a love for drama?

Tamasha by Deepika Rajani, is seeking dynamic and dedicated Drama Teachers to join our team on both part-time and full-time bases.

About Tamasha: Tamasha is a vibrant drama company committed to empowering students through theatrical education. With a focus on creativity, collaboration, and confidence-building, we aim to inspire young minds to explore their artistic potential.

Position Overview:

  • Role: Drama Teacher
  • Location: Across the island
  • Employment Type: Part-Time / Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging drama lessons and workshops for students across various age groups.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
  • Guide students in script analysis, character development, improvisation, and performance techniques.
  • Prepare students for performances, showcases, and other theatrical events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and lesson plans that align with educational goals and company ethos.
  • Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to students to enhance their skills and confidence.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Drama Teacher or similar role, preferably working with children and teenagers.
  • Strong understanding of drama education methodologies and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for inspiring and motivating young individuals through the performing arts.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit the needs and abilities of diverse student groups.
  • Relevant qualifications in Drama, Theatre, Performing Arts, or Education (preferred but not essential).
