Firing Point Safety Officer (1 Year Contract, Opportunity To Renew / Convert) - Part-Time

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure all weapon safety drills for assigned firers are executed in accordance with established procedures
• Comply with range conduct procedures and Range Standing Orders
• Comply with all security procedures
• Ensure all ranges are conducted in accordance with established procedures, including:

1. Conducting break‑arm checks upon arrival of firer
2. Assisting firers with in‑processing
3. Assisting the Chief Safety Officer in the conduct of Just‑in‑Time (JIT) briefings
4. Performing Detailing In‑Charge (IC) duties
5. Performing After Action Review (AAR) In‑Charge (IC) duties

• Ensure the smooth and safe conduct of the range
• Ensure firers complete the soldier satisfaction survey
• Adopt and practice a strong safety culture at MMRC
• Undertake other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor

Skills & Experience

• Military personnel (active or retired) are welcome to apply
• Proven experience in military weapons technical handling, Authorized Operating Materials (AOM), and military safety management is required
• Possess effective communication skills
• Candidates may be considered for conversion to a permanent role or contract renewal, subject to individual performance and overall company performance
• Work location: Multi Mission Range Complex (MMRC)
